Owen County is located in South Central Indiana. We are 450.7 square miles and consist of a little over 20,800 people. The road officers patrol 712 road miles of county roads and highways. Owen County was formed in 1819 and named after Colonel Abraham Owen. He died in the Battle of Tippecanoe. Owen County is home to McCormick’s Creek State Park.
